When a tooth is badly damaged and beyond the repair with a regular filling, a crown is sometimes necessary to restore the tooth to its natural shape, increase esthetics, and protect the tooth from further decay.  A crown is fabricated outside the mouth allowing optimal fit to the tooth, shape and color for a long lasting restoration. Fitting a crown is a two step procedure.  At the first visit, decay is removed and the tooth is shaped to create an optimal design for the crown fit.  An impression or 3D scan of the area is made to replicate the teeth and a temporary crown is fit to the tooth out of an acrylic tooth colored material.

At Romenesko Family Dentistry Brillion, LLC, Dr. Nick Romenesko prefers to use all-porcelain crowns whenever possible. These crowns offer the most natural appearance, with no metal to show through, and they provide a significantly lower risk of porcelain fracture compared to porcelain-fused-to-metal options. The advanced porcelain materials used today are highly aesthetic, exceptionally durable, and closely mimic the wear characteristics of natural teeth—helping to preserve the integrity of opposing teeth and promote long-term oral health.

Romenesko Family Dentistry Brillion, LLC incorporates digital radiography into its patient care. Digital x-rays allow for larger, crisper images with more contrast to provide Dr. Romenesko with the most accurate diagnostic information.

Also, with the ease of computerized storage, images are able to be compared from years past so changes can be easily detected. The large, clear images provide patients with more information and better education to help them understand their dental problems enabling patients to chose the best solution to resolve the problem.  At our office, we believe an informed decision is the right decision.

Orthodontics is not just for children any more!

Have you always wanted straighter teeth and a prettier smile, but you don’t want to have traditional metal brackets and wires to get in the way.  With Invisalign, we have the ability to move teeth discreetly with clear aligners.  All it takes is a series of clear trays that snap over your teeth and the transformation begins. Most cases are complete within 12-18 months!

An additional advantage to Invisalign over traditional braces is the ability to remove the trays for easier home care of brushing and flossing without brackets and wires getting in the way.

Many people don’t know the importance of straight teeth.  Reducing crowding allows for easier cleaning of teeth to prevent future problems.  Costly dental work can be avoided when the teeth are aligned properly.  By correcting one’s occlusion and bite, unnecessary wear, gum recession, and jaw issues can be avoided.  The end result of a beautiful straight smile is an added bonus.

  • Complimentary digital scan of mouth -With digital dental scanners, we can capture a 3D model of your mouth to help display areas of concerns for a patient’s better understanding. With the 3D model, we retain it for our records to compare changes in the mouth year over year. Comparing old scans to current scans allows the patient and doctor to visualize tooth wear, gum recession, gum inflammation, and tooth movement over time. In case a situation arises that we need to replace an appliance, replace a tooth/teeth or repair a fractured tooth to its natural form, we can do it quickly and often times same day.
  • Better education leads to better home care and better oral and overall health.
  • Onset – sodium bicarbonate 8.4% is a neutralizing additive solution for anesthetic. When added to anesthetic, the injection is the gentlest that can be administered. The result is an injection that numbs as it is being administered and no burning sensation due to a more neutral pH allowing for a faster acting and more profound numb feeling.   • Noise cancelling Headphones – no one loves listening to the noises of the dental office, especially when it is in your own mouth. Our noise cancelling headphones eliminate one of the more dreadful fears that patients have about going to the dentist. Connect the headphones to your phone or music or lay back and watch tv while at the office.
  • TV – A wonderful distraction while at the dentist to help the time fly by.
  • Dryshield – combines suction, a mouth prop, tongue shield and throat protection in one device. It is safer by significantly reducing the risk of swallowing or inhaling foreign objects. It is more comfortable for patients by reducing the “drowning effect” of water build up in the back of the mouth. Lastly, is results in a better outcome as your dental team has better isolation and access as well as a drier field of work which is very important with the tooth colored fillings that require a dry environment for best adhesion and increases the fillings lifespan.
